...there is a univeral language between women when they craft and come
together in this passion. It unites women in a place that takes them from the
woes of everyday life and provides fortitude and strength to each other through
unspoken word - it is as if each stitch taken together strengthens our bound and
friendship. Please join me on the journey and let us inspire each other........

Having a day off....

I had a day off school/work today to look after my daughter Caitlin who has landed herself a mighty fine respiratory infection. It is only the 3rd day back for the students I teach so less than ideal but it had to be done. Sending her to school was sure to end up in her being sent home!

Whilst I was home I made the most of catching up on things around here since I had a full weekend catching up with friends in Melbourne for a 40th birthday. We were also suppose to go hot air ballooning at some unsightly hour of Saturday morning but due to the storms down here the flight was postponed. So we have another opportunity to look forward to at the end of March (fingers crossed).

I won't bore you with the list of things I accomplished today but here are a couple of blocks I zipped up in aid of a birthday quilt our quilt group is making for one of our members.

Happy sewing to you all! :)

I won!!

During January I entered into "Joy's Quilts" finishing stitches challenges. I was a 'machine' in completely a lot of projects, mainly due to being on holidays and wanting to achieve as much as I could. Of course the biggest reward was to myself as I completed or progressed along on project after project and finished a lot of tasks on my to-do list. But this week I was pleasantly surprised with another reward from my efforts.........I won the charm pack for this month!! It is a gorgeous Shirbett Pip's collection. My daughter and I trawled through the lovely prints which are so delightful in this range. Now what to make..........oh no fear I will have something I will do with it!

Thanks to Joy from Joy's Quilts and Alice from Alice in Quilterland :)
